Situated on the northern tip of the Adriatic Coast in the near proximity to the Italian border (5 km) and the twon of Trieste, JORK is the first and only purpose-built residential Recording Studio in our country.
The studio is run by a small team of dedicated proffesionals who really care about their guests. 24 hour cover by two full-time mantenance staff is included Our business philosophy is to offer excellent value for money coupled with technical standards, all within a friendly atmosphere.Reputation for a "clean" recorded sound, the accuracy of the monitoring, coupled to superb acoustics designed by Andy Munro, one of the leading studio designers in Europe, give as the wining position.Our large bright control room (9x7 meters) built around the main monitors has been constructed on the LEDE principle with plenty of space to move around, the kind of facility that lends itself to live work. Tape machines and other noisy equipment is housed in a separate machine room. The control rooms' rear area provides space and comfort to accomodate the largest keyboard set-ups with accurate monitoring in every position, which is a must in modern recording. There is also space for up to 8 persons sitting at hte rear end of the control room. Engineer and producer are in visual contact with all recording areas trough the huge triple-glazed studio window. Three sides of the studio are open to daylight whilst being totally isolated from any outside environment. All rooms are fully air-conditioned.Three recording area consists of one large room plus four isolation booths, featuring differing acoustics nad bright "clean" sound. The main studio has a variable acoustic with live feel and can comfortably set 30 musicians. The isolation booths are from fully libe (Booth 1), thru' semi-live stone room (Booth 2), to totally dead (Booth 3 and voice-over), to cover the largest range of different acoustics. We offer the best sounding rooms in the country. Other facilities include a rest area, shower and own car park. Arranged accomodation, restaurants and pubs are within close proximitly to the studio.
